I’d like to take a moment to bring to people’s attention what is happening in Scotland right now, more specifically Glasgow. I’m not sure many of you even realise that yesterday we had the chance to vote to be an independent country, and overall, the run up to voting day was fantastic! There was such passion and positivity from both Yes and No camps, but that is now a thing of the past as since the votes have been counted and a NO vote has won 55% to 45% YES. George square has been the hub for many YES gatherings over the past few weeks, and I live in Glasgow and I’ve walked through them, and it’s been a really great atmosphere, but these pictures show what replaces that today. Within 48 hours it has gone from a scene of positivity, to complete anarchy, and the BBC has covered virtually none of it! I ask that you please be aware of the discord going on in Glasgow and Scotland right now, and if you’re in Glasgow please stay at home and be safe, this is not how it should have ended.

THIS OKAY

You want to get kids out of foster care and into good, loving homes? I’ve got a simple solution to your problem.

Did you know LGBT couples are more likely to adopt older, children of color and disable children than straight couples? LGBT couples tend to adopt ‘undesired’ children more (basically kids no one else wants.)

I used to work with kids in state’s custody who were unable to be placed in foster/adoptive homes yet because of their behavior. Let me tell you…none of those kids gave a single fuck about whether their future parents were gay or straight. They just wanted a family. The kids don’t care. A mom and dad, two moms, one dad…
They.
Don’t.
Care.
These were the ‘undesirable’ kids that a previous commenter mentioned. They were all older and had severe behavioral issues. Some were lower functioning. People were not fighting over these kids.
And on a side note, when I have kids one day, those will be the kids that I have. And I am so passionate about that, that I would never get involved with a woman who wasn’t completely on board with that as well.

The difference in street signs from one English speaking country to another fascinate me. In the US, that sign would read YIELD, as opposed to GIVE WAY.
